TERMS OF USE

Fair terms for an independent study tool.

By accessing OrthoTech Prep, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service. Effective August 30, 2026.

Independent preparation

OrthoTech Prep is not affiliated with, sponsored by, approved by, or endorsed by the National Board for Certification of Orthopaedic Technologists, Inc. Its practice questions are not official NBCOT examination items.

Educational service

OrthoTech Prep provides independent educational content, practice questions, simulations, and study analytics. It does not provide certification, continuing-education credit, medical advice, clinical supervision, or a guarantee of examination performance.

Accounts and acceptable use

You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your password secure. Provide accurate information and notify the operator if you suspect unauthorized access.

You may use the site for personal exam preparation. You may not scrape or bulk-download the question bank, republish or sell content, share automated account access, interfere with the service, introduce malicious code, attempt to access another user’s data, or use the site to develop a competing question bank without written permission.

Content quality and user reports

Sources and revision dates support transparency, but educational content can still contain omissions, wording problems, or outdated statements. You may report suspected problems from any question. Reports may be reviewed, edited, resolved, or declined at the operator’s discretion.

Third-party services and links

The site may link to NBCOT and other external sources and may use third-party authentication and infrastructure. Those services have their own terms and privacy practices. A link or citation does not imply sponsorship or endorsement by either party.

Paid subscriptions

If paid subscriptions are introduced, access will be described at checkout before purchase. Paid features may include full question-bank access, exam-format simulations, analytics, spaced repetition, and administrative or institutional tools. Subscription access is for the purchasing account unless a separate institutional agreement says otherwise.

Cancellation and refunds

You may cancel future subscription renewal through the account or billing controls made available at launch. Cancellation stops future billing but does not automatically refund past charges. Refund eligibility is described in the Refund and Cancellation Policy.

Availability and changes

Features, content, access, and these terms may change. The service may be suspended or discontinued, and access may be restricted for misuse or security reasons. When practical, material changes will be communicated through the site.

No warranties and limitation

The service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, no warranty is made that content is complete, error-free, current, continuously available, or sufficient to pass an examination.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, OrthoTech Prep and its operator are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or examination-related losses arising from use of or reliance on the service. Rights that cannot legally be excluded remain unaffected.

These policies describe the current service and are intended to be clear and readable. They do not reduce any rights that cannot lawfully be waived.
