When you create an account, we store your email address, optional display name, account role, subscription-access status, and a salted password hash. We also store quiz attempts, answers and topic performance, bookmarks, reading completion, spaced-review dates, study-plan preferences, and question-issue reports. We use essential technical information needed to operate and secure the site.
OrthoTech Prep does not store plaintext passwords, payment-card information, clinical records, or patient information. Do not enter protected health information or identifiable patient details into reports.
How information is used
Information is used to authenticate you, synchronize progress across devices, calculate study analytics, schedule review, respond to reported content issues, maintain security, and improve the educational experience. Readiness indicators are generated from your study activity and are not used for employment, credentialing, insurance, or clinical decisions.
Service providers and disclosure
The site relies on hosting, database, and authentication providers that process limited information to deliver their services. Information may also be disclosed when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect users, investigate misuse, or preserve the security of the service.
We do not sell personal information, rent user lists, or share study activity for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Cookies and local storage
Authentication may use essential cookies to keep you signed in. The site stores your light/dark theme preference in your browser. These technologies are used for core functionality, not advertising.
Your choices
Signed-in users can export their stored study data or permanently delete it from the Progress and Trust areas. You may also stop using the service and sign out at any time. See the Data Retention Policy for timing and deletion details.

Reasonable safeguards are used, but no internet service can promise absolute security. This study service is intended for users age 16 or older and is not directed to children.
Material policy changes will be reflected by a new effective date and, when appropriate, a notice in the site.
